The LWV

LWVMNEF, which is the educational arm of League of Women Voters Minnesota, a non-partisan political organization, has sponsored candidate debates since 1978. The purpose of the debates is to educate the public about campaign issues, provide an opportunity for voters to hear candidates discuss those issues face-to-face, stimulate public interest and participation in the elections, and create an opportunity for candidates to engage their constituents.
