Based in Austin Texas, Macchinisti supports locally owned coffeehouses, Botique hotels, premium restaurants, specialty carts/mobile event venues and specialty coffee roasters. We are a roaster neutral independent agent, working with over two dozen local and national roasters to optimize equipment performance. Michael Wilkins After returning to the US from living in Italy as a youth, I co-founded Raven Espresso in 1983, the first La Marzocco sales and service agency in the central United States. After Selling Raven To Allegro Coffee Company in 1985, as Foodservice Division Manager/investor, our team built the foodservice segment to over 500 customers nationwide, initiated direct importation of espresso equipment, attracting and training talented service personnel, refining daily operations until, in 1997, we sold Allegro to our largest customer, Whole Foods Markets. Following this I joined the La Marzocco USA team as a territory manager. In 2016, I partnered with Jill Fountain to form Macchinisti. Great coffee has been my life and passion for nearly 40 years, and I welcome the opportunity to share our experience with you! Jill Fountain started as a barista in 2006 in a popular Boulder Colorado coffeehouse. Her natural mechanical skills, problem solving and enthusiasm for coffee led to her rapid promotion as head barista, lead trainer, and in-house technician. Seeing the avid coffeehouse scene during a visit, Jill moved to Austin in 2015 and created Macchinisti with Michael. Michael and Jill combine 49 years of coffee wisdom.
