Mack Air

The company was first established in 1994 by Stuart and Lara Mackay, both of whom had been working in the Okavango for a number of years before setting up the company. The operation began with just one Cessna 206, A2-AKB. Lutz Gottschalk was the first pilot employed by MACK AIR in July 1996 and by 1998 there was a small team of pilots undertaking daily flights. Over the years, MACK AIR has built up a reputation for offering a reliable, efficient and personable service with an emphasis on safety as a priority. From its humble beginnings based in a hot rustic shack, MACK AIR has moved on to new air-conditioned offices located opposite Maun Airport.
