Mackley
We provided a comprehensive plan which was executed in the transportation and placement of a 10.5M x 7.8M Two Bedroom Cottage. This was uplifted from Cottage Co. in Templeton and delivered to a site in Halswell. Due to the over dimensional nature of this unit a thorough delivery plan was required by a collaboration between Projects Manager, Mark Collins and Operations Manager, Jonny Brown. Over 3.1M is classed as an oversized load, since this was outside of the city boundaries we were able to transport during the light of day rather than between the hours of 7pm and 5am, which would be the case if it was inside city boundaries. Mackleys required the use of six units in total to organise this delivery. This included cartage via a specialised low loader suitable to cart this over height unit, along with two crane truck units to load and unload at both ends including placement of the building on piles. Due to the size and weight of the building, our crane truck operators orchestrated this manoeuvre by simultaneously tandem lifting the building at both locations. Three load pilot vehicles were required to aid the building to the site safely. The thorough planning and attention to detail along with the care and skill required by the operators ensured this building was delivered safely and intact, making the job easy for our customer and leaving them with peace of mind.
