Madison Polo Club
The Madison Polo Club was founded in 1990 and became an official member of the United States Polo Association (USPA) in 1991. The club is one of 4 polo clubs in Wisconsin. Club membership has remained fairly stable over the years. Membership has been following the trend of other clubs and has been growing as the interest in polo continues to grow. MPC started a student training and membership program in 2002 and a social membership, which has helped to bring a number of new faces out onto the field and along the sidelines. The club is open to all, and currently has male and female members of varying ages and skill levels. While some have been riding or playing polo for years, there are others who have never played or have little or no riding experience. This is one of the great characteristics of the club and of polo in general… all you need is the desire to get involved. For several years, the club played on a field just west of Madison. In 2001, the club moved to a new field south of Madison and just northwest of Oregon, off Cty Hwy M, at Hickory Knoll Farm. This new location provides easy access from the Beltline (Hwy12/18) around Madison. For the foreseeable future, this will remain the home field for the club. he Madison Polo Club is a non-profit organization.
