Maiden America
Maiden America was originally developed out of concern for what designing mom, Aliza Wiseman, saw as age-inappropriate fashions being marketed to children. "My goal was to encourage parents (not marketers) to define childhood by exercising their pocket books. Childhood is a sacred time and, all too often these days, children are too soon hooked up to electronic babysitters and left to be raised by peers, "the system" and a culture that feeds ego at the utter expense of the soul. Juliet Schor's book, Born To Buy is a great read, for those interested by this subject."
