Main Event Caterers

Main Event makes your event their Main Event. Their truck has just pulled out of our driveway and once again, they've knocked it out of the park. We cater several parties a year (anywhere from 3-6) and in a previous life I managed corporate events for several companies, so I've worked with many higher-end caterers over the years. Of all those companies, none compares to the style and polish of MEC. I've worked with Darcy on both our events to date, and both times I've felt as though ours is the only event on MEC's agenda. Our last party was a popular Saturday night in the heart of holiday season, and I knew that they were fully booked. None of that came through to me, the client. Darcy is upbeat and has a real "can-do" attitude. I've seen her roll up her sleeves and move furniture; she's quick to follow up and respond to requests, and stays on task even when I'm not nearly as responsive as I should be (to which I owe her an apology!!). They're a team of hardworkers and every member of the team speaks highly of what a great company MEC is to work for--a happy employee is a sign of a great company. Just as important as the service, however, is the food. My husband and I take our food seriously, and MEC's focus on top quality ingredients comes through. The food is fresh and innovative and healthy-yet-delicious options are plentiful. They're the only caterer I've ever met that recycles all the empties as a party (a pet peeve of mine--why don't other companies do this???), they grow their own herbs and greens and even keep fish and rainwater in their facility. I have never seen a bottled drink mix in their repertoire and all cocktails are made fresh from scratch. In the past, in order to have high quality cocktails from a caterer, I had to find my own recipes and prepare the "starter" myself and give mixing instructions to the bartender. Frankly, doing all that myself defeats the purpose of the bartender. MEC makes me want to throw more parties. I rely on Yelp reviews a ton, but sadly rarely leave reviews myself (I know, a real faux pas)--I have to feel super strongly about a business to make the effort to type one up. I feel THAT strongly about MEC and their team.
