Makin Group

Established in 1993, PT. Matahari Kahuripan Indonesia (Makin Group) is one of the leading agribusinesses in Indonesia. To date we manage oil palm plantations with a total planted area of approximately 140,000 hectares in Sumatera and Kalimantan, where 35% is owned by cooperatives in our partnership with local communities, under our management. Currently, we operate thirteen palm oil mills with a total production capacity of 635 tons FFB (fresh fruit bunches) per hour. Additionally, we operate and manage a clove plantation in North Sulawesi to support our conservation program protecting and preserving high conservation value forests. We also collaborate with the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) for wildlife protection and conservation of endangered species.
