Established in 1970, Manfreight is a leading privately owned logistics company within Ireland. With its headquarters in Craigavon and strategically located sites throughout Ireland and the UK, it is able to offer levels of service that are second to none. Manfreight services include Irish, UK and European transport, logistics and food grade logistics solutions. With extensive sector specific experience of ambient, chilled and frozen foods. Manfreight provide efficient, flexible logistics solutions with high levels of client care to the food and beverage sector. Working within their customers' supply chains, Manfreight provide seamless temperature controlled logistics solutions, handling and storing food goods safely and according to best practice on behalf of their clients. Their chilled, frozen and ambient client base is diverse and includes numerous retail distribution centres (RDCs). The key to success of Manfreight operating within the food sector and beverage sectors, is speed to market combined with scalability and highly bespoke levels of service. The company's roots stretch back more than four decades. It was founded by the late Chris Slowey, initially to serve the agricultural sector, hauling fertilizer and fuel products, before expanding into the transportation of construction materials. Today, Manfreight is managed by the founder's son, also named Chris, who has driven the company into new areas of business throughout the UK and Ireland since he took up the reins in 2010. His extensive experience in the transport industry gained over 20 years has stood him in good stead, having worked in various managerial positions for several high profile logistics operators. In recent times, we have invested close on £1m in our County Armagh hub, while a new depot in Lincolnshire will enable us to enhance our service and support to customers throughout the UK.
