MANSFIELD CARE
Mansfield Care manages seven care homes across the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh, Loanhead, Kilmarnock and Troon. We established Mansfield Care Homes in 2005 because we wanted to make a difference to the way people are perceived and looked after in their later years. We saw a need for high quality, individualised care that takes account of the whole person and helps residents with the practical realities of old age in a dignified, respectful and companionable way. We aim to provide the kind of home that we would wish for ourselves: safe, friendly, bright, positive, and with the kind of facilities and comfort you would expect to enjoy in later life. We strive at all times to maintain exceptional standards, supported by our wonderful staff, close liaison with residents' families and carers, and continual monitoring of all our services and facilities. Director Andrew Hume has a business management background, and has always worked in people-oriented roles on the client side and in staff management. He has a special interest in recruiting the right staff for Mansfield Care, seeing this as central to the success of the company. Operations Manager Mark Hurst is a training and quality assurance specialist with many years' experience in the health and social care sectors. He has an excellent track record in managing all aspects of care home operations, with special responsibility for processes, audits and training programmes to ensure Care Inspectorate and Care Quality Commission compliance. Operations Manager Arlene Woods started working for Mansfield Care in June 2016. Arlene is a registered nurse in both Adult General and Psychiatric specialties. She has worked in the NHS, managed care homes and worked as a Regional Support Manager for Bupa. She was also a regulator with the Care Inspectorate for 10 years. Arlene brings many skills to this position and will work with our managers to develop the services and further improve the performance of the already well performing care homes. Financial Controller Sheena Campbell is a chartered accountant with more than 15 years' experience of working in a global healthcare company in accounting and strategic planning roles. She subsequently spent 8 years in an accountancy practice working with a variety of businesses in the private and charitable sectors. Sheena brings to the company an excellent knowledge of audit, finance and accounting systems. Each of our seven care homes is run by a dedicated House Manager with a specialised background in nursing and dementia care. Our homes are all small, friendly places where residents and staff can feel valued, supported and happy. We believe Mansfield Care Homes offer something special, but please don't take our word for it - come and visit for yourselves! The staff are all very good at their job. They always pay attention to every resident's needs.
