The Maritime Aboriginal Peoples Council (MAPC) is established, and registered as an advocacy organization dedicated to profile, advance, and promote the Aboriginal Peoples continuing on traditional ancestral homelands in the Maritimes. MAPC is also structured to remain current about regional, national and international subjects, which may affect Aboriginal Peoples Rights. These subjects are raised at different venues, either as issues, concerns, interests and views representative of the MAPC Member Councils.
