Marine Diesel Engineering of Marina del Rey, California offers the full line of Beta marine engines for new construction, replacement, upgrading. Leif supplied, modified and installed the engine and charging systems for Brad Van Liew's third place finish in the highly competitive Around Alone Race in 1998 in Balance Bar ex-California Challenge. Brad was the only American racer and as a first time competitor did exceptionally well to finish so high in a field of seasoned sailors.
