Masyap

MASYAP is made up of a network of women's and youth groups in the southern region of Malawi and has over 800 members. There are currently 28 women's groups, and 23 youth groups who meet weekly or fortnightly. These support groups are the main medium through which MASYAP works, and our microfinance scheme is based around women involved in the support groups. We also run HIV Testing and Counselling (HTC) in our office and as an outreach programme in more inaccessible communities. MASYAP has a wide range of collaborators including local and national health authorities such as the Blantyre District Health Office (DHO) and the National Aids Commission (NAC). As well as collaboration on inter-faith forums to tackle HIV/AIDs, MASYAP is well networked with a host of HIV/AIDS initiatives and organisations in Malawi.
