MatchWork
MatchWork was founded in Denmark in 1996 by entrepreneurial people who saw that with the coming of the Internet the market for job advertising would migrate from print to online. On 1st July 1997, MatchWork went live with its own branded job portal making us one of the first online players in the job advertisement market world-wide. The launch was an instant success and soon MatchWork started to expand into more countries and to widen the business by developing partnerships with different media companies which would be using a white label version of our job board platform. Again, MatchWork pioneered the delivery of job boards as an internet service long before the "over the cloud" concept. In 2004, MatchWork's financial position was strengthened when it was acquired by the Danish media group North Media A/S that are listed on the Danish stock exchange. North Media operates a variety of different Internet and software companies and has a strong focus on knowledge sharing, innovation, SEO expertise, usability, social media and web design.
