MathsBuddy

MathsBuddy (Colette Delargy) has been offering maths tuition to primary and post-primary students both privately and through schools for the past 10 years. Colette specialises in working with children who are lacking confidence in their own mathematical ability and those who just seem to find maths difficult. Through the use of games and appropriate mathematical resources, she helps students see that they can do well at maths. The parents are delighted with the improved results, increased confidence and the children's willigness to tackle problems that would once have been out of their league. The reason why MathsBuddy is so successful is because every lesson is tailored to each child's needs, the concepts are made explicit using the materials that are meaningful to them and sessions are relaxed so that children can ask those questions that they might be frightened to ask in class. Colette believes in continual professional development and she is delighted to have achieved a commendation in her post-graduate certificate in autism to add to her other degrees and certificates in Education, Management and IT.
