Matt Brownlow
Originally, Matt came from a background working in broadcasting in the non-profit sector. After completing education in project management, and flipping a few houses along the way, Matt was looking for a change. Mortgage brokering was a natural fit for Matt, and with his entrepreneurial spirit, was an industry that he could see himself bringing tremendous experience, knowledge and value to his clients. "I remember when I purchased my first house 10 years ago, I didn't even know 'mortgage brokers' were a thing. I just went to my bank and asked for a mortgage, and they gave me one, with little questions asked. Looking back, they took advantage of me, plain and simple. I didn't know very much about mortgages, and they knew it, it felt like I was just another number on a screen to them. There was no personal guidance, no probing questions, and no getting to know me and my unique situation or financial goals." "It wasn't until I moved on to my second house, that a mortgage broker took the time to get to know me, and to help me with my own financial goals. The approach that mortgage broker in particular took always stood out to me. But with my background in project management, it also left me with ideas of how the process and journey could be improved upon." "When I was looking to make a career change, mortgage brokering fit right into my wheelhouse. I now get to help my clients with their home buying journey, whether it be buying their first home, moving from one home to another, helping them get financing for a big renovation, renewing their mortgage, or refinancing to help pay off debt. I get the honour and privilege to guide them through the process, and make sure that they are making good financial decisions for their unique financial situations." "I take great pride in my work, and love sharing my wealth of knowledge with my clients to make sure their home journey is as stress free as possible." We get it.
