McElroy Specialty Interiors

McElroy Specialty Interiors, or MSI, is a regional specialty subcontractor based in Marietta, Ga. We provide metal framing, engineering, drywall, acoustical ceiling and other specialty subcontracting services. Although we primarily work in a three hour radius around metropolitan Atlanta, many of our projects are located throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Most of our clients are experienced general contractors who hire the best subcontractor teams to help build complicated projects. These types of contractors value and maintain long-term relationships with MSI because we help them to be successful. Although our project list is impressive, it is our corporate culture that most differentiates MSI from the competition. We were founded in 1994 by Michael E. McElroy. Mike learned about the commercial drywall and acoustical subcontracting business working with his father, Edgar P. McElroy. Ed was a pioneer within our industry and a mentor to many trade professionals. In 1995, Mike asked long-time business associate Randy Hardy to join him at MSI as partner and president. Marty Shonkwiler was elected vice president of the company shortly thereafter.
