McKechnie Jess

McKechnie Jess was formed in 1988 by merging the manufacturing arm of A P Jess Scottish Food Group and well respected wholesale and manufacturing butcher Allan McKechnie & Co. In 2002 McKechnie Jess purchased their largest rival in the frozen sausage market in Scotland and added the 'Dark Island' brand to their product range. Since 1989 the average weekly output has increased 60 fold and we now produce over 80 tons of finished goods per week. On a 50,000 ft site near Glasgow stands McKechnie Jess's exceptionally modern purpose built factory. Approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, it meets all EC regulations and hygiene requirements and delivers uncompromising quality control.
