Modern Combat Sports
Modern Combat Sports utilizes real military equipment alongside safe-and impressively realistic-reproductions of IEDs, mines, razor wire, and other elements of the modern battlefield. At the heart of Modern Combat Sports, you'll find the guns that players carry into action. Generally designed to replicate the M4/M16 family of battle rifles, these guns are exact reproductions of real duty-issue firearms. They function, look, fit, and feel the same, and optics and will accept the optics and other accessories that personnel have on their duty-issue weapons…making MCS guns the most authentic reproductions of battle rifles ever designed. Their magazine capacity is similar to duty-issue firearms, meaning that using MCS guns-requires the shooter to employ the same marksmanship and teamwork they would with their battle rifle. The rest of a competitor's duty gear can include any real equipment that does not pose a threat to others' safety-so they may use authentic radios and night vision gear, distraction devices like flashbang and smoke grenades, but of course not explosives. Players generally wear their duty-issue load bearing vests filled with training-munitions magazines. Some wear their duty-issue body armor for authenticity, while others slip reproduction armor plates into their vests for the simulation without the expense and weight. Tactical radios are very popular, and players often carry maps in MOLLE map pouches so they can coordinate maneuvers on vast and challenging terrain. Authentic military apparel protects players, helping them to blend into their environment as well…and morale patches keep it fun.
