M.D. Ambulance Care
Established in 1976, MD Ambulance provides service under contract to the Saskatoon Regional Health Authority (SRHA). MD Ambulance manages over 28,000 patient transports annually, with 21 vehicles and 150 employees. Service spans the greater Saskatoon area. MD Ambulance also has a contract with SRHA to process and dispatch services for medical emergencies, inter-hospital transfer calls and they manage an Acute CareAccess Line (ACAL). The communications centre is accredited by the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch and dispatches approximately 40 per cent of EMS operations in Saskatchewan.
