Mediabase monitors the airplay of more than 2,500 radio stations, updated continuously, producing historic and current airplay data for U.S. and Canadian radio stations, satellite radio, and music television. Mediabase also provides information to every major record label and distributor, as well as concert promoters, artists, managers, music publishers, movie studios, video game developers and more. Pioneering the concept of monitored airplay in 1987, Mediabase charts are published weekly in USA Today, and are used on nearly all radio countdown shows and by dozens of websites and magazines. Mediabase is owned and operated by RCS, the world's largest broadcast software company. RCS software is used by more than 14,500 radio stations, TV music channels, cable companies, satellite music networks and Internet stations worldwide. The company also provides broadcasters and webcasters tools and expertise, and also develops real-time audio recognition technology.
