Mediators Beyond Borders International
MBB also offers direct services, training and coaching in third-party facilitated conflict resolution processes designed to reach agreement, resolve conflicts, solve problems, build trust and heal relationships. In each area where it has a capacity-building project, MBB works in partnership with local organizations and leaders. MBB generally serves groups located in areas where there are difficulties resulting from war, major civil conflict, or significant natural disaster. MBB currently has seven active projects in Colombia, Ecuador, Israel, Kenya, Nepal, Sierra Leone and a UNFCCC Observer Project on Climate Change. MBB projects are always in direct collaboration at the invitation of one or more organizations, including local communities, universities, professional groups, not-for-profit organizations and others. This collaboration typically takes a different form in each project. Ultimately, the success of any MBB project depends on the effectiveness of its partnerships and the organizations, communities and leaders with whom it works. Due to the international nature of its work, Mediators Beyond Borders changed its name in 2011 to Mediators Beyond Borders International, but still uses the acronym MBB. DISCLAIMER: MBB is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit, nongovernmental organization, which is not affiliated with "Mediators Without Borders," a private research and academic organization established in 1994, and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, USA.
