Medical Associates Hospital

Medical Associates Hospital and Medical Center was formed in 1959 by Dr. J.T. Burrowes who envisioned the construction of the finest private hospital in Jamaica. His concept was that of bringing together a group of doctors in one building, equipped with a well stocked pharmacy and the necessary facilities for accurate investigative procedures, X-Ray Department, Laboratory, as well as physiotherapy services. The concept was embraced by fellow medical practitioners and construction began in 1959. This institution operates a top class facility and is proud to have established long-standing alliances with well known practitioners whose variety of disciplines, many years of experience, excellent relationships with staff and their commitment to patient care of the highest quality contribute significantly to the positive image that the organization has developed over the years. We currently have a staff of over 80 professionals and serve approximately 200 patients throughout the region each week.
