MSH Medical School Hamburg
The MSH Medical School Hamburg is a private, state-approved academic institute in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, based in the modern HafenCity district. In 2009, MSH was founded by the director Ilona Renken-Olthoff, with the Faculty of Health as a University of Applied Sciences. The school started in 2010 with six courses of degrees. Our course offer expanded to up to eleven Bachelor and five Master's degrees which are characterized by a strong focus on applied knowledge. The Faculty of Life Sciences became an officially state-approved academic institution, equivalent to a University, in 2013. All courses at the Faculty of Life Sciences offer a university degree and have a strong focus on scientific-methodological approaches. As such, students studying at MSH can chose between a degree from the University of Applied Sciences and a state-approved University - and can shape their career based on their individual strengths and talents. The accreditation of the study degrees through AHPGS is important to us and warrants a highest operational standard on quality and transparency. Our courses of study are characterized by a competence-based approach in which individualisation of the students is made possible through targeted teaching approaches and elective modules. With our innovative, transdisciplinary academic concept we contribute actively to change making processes in the health care sector and guarantee a high-level education and preparation for the future.
