MELEEM Skopje

MELEEM Skopje is an organization that tends to identify, point out and reanimate essential public spaces that are forgotten by the citizens or the authorities. Our activities are based on a concept that prioritizes the inclusion of the community during the "making of" process. We believe that the process is equally, or even more important, than the result itself since it provides learning and bonding of the community. Our goal is to address vital topics through our activities while respecting the concepts of: #communityinclusion, #youthactivism, #participativedesign, #sustainability in each of the projects. MELEEM realizes its goals by 3 main activities: urban interventions, art installations, and social occupation. We are also interested in the online publication and delivering valuable content about public spaces to a larger portion of the population through digital tools.
