Metal Innovations

Metal Innovations Inc. is a certified woman-owned business and FAA Repair Station that was founded by Kim and Craig Wilmes in January of 1996. The initial investment attributed to the formation of Metal Innovations Inc. was comprised of the proceeds from the sale of a pickup truck and an $8000 inheritance from Kim's grandmother. The business began in a garage where Kim wrote MII's FAA Repair Station Manual. After its approval, MII acquired its first repair contract from Horizon Airlines, modifying 80 over-wing emergency exit doors for the Fokker F-28 fleet.
