METCO is a long established, single-source petroleum contractor for the installation, service and environmental consulting of all types of fuel system applications. Our primary customers include retail gas stations, municipalities and government institutions that maintain vehicle fleets, and commercial facilities that utilize tank systems for backup generator and boiler systems. We serve the tri-state area of Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, and are dedicated to living up to our standard of "Excellence through experience. We are based in Hillsboro, WI, with remote locations in LaCrosse and Janesville, WI. Ralph Knower founded METCO in 1979, working out of a small garage and concentrating on servicing petroleum equipment and installing fueling systems. Today, METCO is still headquartered in Hillsboro, Wisconsin in a 10,000 square foot facility that is substantially larger than Ralph's garage. The Company has seen tremendous growth during the past thirty-five plus years. Our Environmental Division is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin and provides consultations and services for state fund management (PECFA), site assessments, subsurface investigations, and compliance auditing. METCO's customers benefit from working with one company for all of their fuel system and environmental service needs.
