Metrograph

Established on New York City's Lower East Side in 2016, Metrograph is the ultimate place for movie enthusiasts to experience a special, curated world of cinema, harkening back to the great New York movie theaters of the 1920s and the commissaries of Hollywood studio backlots. Showing 800 (mostly 35mm) films each year, hosting the finest red-carpet premieres in NYC, and presenting the greatest filmmakers in the world, Metrograph has earned Michelin recognition for its restaurant The Metrograph Commissary and a following around the cinema dedicated Metrograph Bookstore. Metrograph Pictures, Metrograph's boutique independent distribution label, was launched in 2019, acquiring and releasing restorations and new releases including A Bigger Splash (1973), Downtown 81 (1981/2001), Hyenas (1992), Goodbye, Dragon Inn (2003), and the upcoming The French (1982). Metrograph Digital was established in July 2020, bringing all of the magic of the Metrograph experience to audiences nationwide.
