Microform Imaging
With over 50 years' experience, Microform Imaging Limited provides one of the most comprehensive, multi-document scanning and filming services in the UK. The company's origins can be traced back to 1956 when the business was born. Trading initially under the name of Micro Methods (later E.P. Microform then Microform Limited), it was set up as a publishing venture to serve academic institutions in the filming of research materials and theses, gradually taking on work from forward-thinking commercial and public-sector organisations which appreciated the benefits of image capture services in meeting their legal requirements to retain and manage key documentation. Our current Managing Director, Nigel Le Page, joined the business in 1964 and very quickly rose through the ranks to become Group Production Manager of the then five companies nationally. On the 4th July 1988, he and wife Glennis headed up a management buyout, when they bought the business from its previous owners. That same year the company changed its name to Microform Imaging Limited and has steadily appreciated in size ever since. Key milestones since the change of name have seen the business move to new bigger improved premises in 2005 and the appointment of a new Director in, son, Jonathan. Jonathan joined the business in 2002, working on several IT based projects, which have seen improvements in the highly sophisticated technology we employ and he has assisted in overseeing the launch of the British Online Archives.
