Mid-States Manufacturing & Engineering
Since 1966, Mid-States Manufacturing & Engineering has grown into a major manufacturer in the material handling industry. The first "home" to Mid-States was a modest barn in the small southeastern Iowa community of Milton. Much has changed from the original agricultural based plans conceived by Jack Dixon and Dale Snyder, founders of the company. After years of manufacturing wooden stock racks, Mid-States was asked to build 1000 stainless steel meat tanks for the Armour-Dial Company based in Fort Madison, Iowa. With the successful completion and shipment of these tanks on the last train to run through Milton, Mid-States initiated an aggressive expansion of its product line. Quickly outgrowing the original barn, the production facility was moved to its current site in 1978 and a new 8,000 square foot building was erected. Fast forward to today - Mid-States resides in a 70,000 square foot manufacturing facility and employs over 50 people. The current owners since 2004, Audra and Kevin Early have broadened our customer base and strive to keep the company moving into the future. Mid-States' in-house engineering and sales departments consistently offer a broad knowledge of the material handling industry to our dealer network. A standard product line along with the capabilities to custom design and engineer products to meet your specific needs are two of the many reasons customers have been coming to us for over 49 years. Quality that lasts for years, delivery and price make us the logical choice for all material handling needs.
