Since 2003 Mid-America Food sales has specialized in buying and selling surplus and obsolete food ingredients and finished goods. We purchase overstock and distressed edible ingredients and raw materials as well as retail and foodservice (finished) products from food manufacturers, distributors, warehouses, or any company that has a need to alleviate excess inventory. Our network of nationwide buyers includes distributors, manufacturers, closeout/discount grocery store chains, food pantries, and prisons. We also sell to the animal feed industry when edible is not an option. These inventories are most commonly available due to over-production, plant closings, short date codes, off-specification, changes in packaging or formulation, and product downgrades.
