Milk River

Established in 1976, Milk River, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3, providing training, employment, activities and residential facilities for the developmentally disabled. Our mission is to encourage and advocate for the wishes, dreams and aspirations of persons with developmental disabilities and achieve this in the least restrictive, most appropriate environment. In the beginning, Milk River served seven individuals. Today, we serve thirty two developmentally disabled adults including one of the original seven. Twenty-two individuals live at the various Milk River residential facilities and attend the Activity Center. The remaining individuals either live in their own apartment or at home with their parents and attend the Activity Center during the day. Milk River, Inc. is one of the largest employers in Valley County, Montana.
