Milwaukee Academy of Science
MAS was founded in 2000 by T. Michael Bolger, the former president of the Medical College of Wisconsin. It is the largest K4-12 college preparatory charter school in the state, with nearly 950 students from the City of Milwaukee. While the majority of its students live below the federal poverty level, they challenge conventional norms of achievement among at-risk populations by consistently demonstrating advancing accomplishments through improved test scores.
