Mindwave Ventures

Mindwave Ventures is an independent social purpose company that sits outside of the NHS and the University. This allows us to view problems from a different perspective; rather than seeing the barriers and the way it's always been done, we work with teams to identify new solutions or opportunities through better understanding. When Mindwave Ventures first began, we created a space where everyone's ideas can be built on and developed creatively. Every idea has potential and should be tested. We prefer to learn by doing or making rather than just talking, and only reject new thoughts and suggestions after due consideration and examination. We have a great team skilled in facilitating exciting conversations and creating awesome designs. We use an iterative process and a truly people-centred design approach to rethink, reshape and redesign the use of technology in healthcare sectors. Through engaging with the end users throughout all stages of a project, people are kept at the heart of our design and development process, leading to wonderful impactful solutions. Although we have graduated out of our origins on campus at the Maudsley to our own place in East London, our close working relationships, technical expertise and true empathy with users will enable us to create the much needed bridge between the NHS and the health tech world.
