Misty Mountain Spring Water
In search of the purest source of water in the Eastern United States, the owners of Misty Mountain Spring Water Company located and purchased a totally protected spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. The tract of property, known as 'Misty Mountain,' has a spring and watershed completely surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. Having a totally protected watershed means that there is no possibility, whatsoever, of impurities migrating into the spring source. The 'Misty Mountain' spring source is located in a mountainous region comprised mainly of granite. From the time the rain falls on the mountain, it takes the water approximately 22 days to naturally filter through the granite and then exit. The spring is protected by thousands of acres of U.S. National Forestland, which ensures the absolute protection of the uplands and watershed - and guarantees our customers a drinking water free of all pollutants. This purest of pure spring water, and its secluded source are located high in an isolated mountainous area near Highlands and Cashiers, North Carolina. At Misty Mountain Spring Water Company, we think our spring water is 'the best on earth'.
