Misvik Biology

Misvik Biology Corporation provides cell biological research services, specialized microscopy image analysis services, and cutting-edge screening platforms for customer initiated imaging-based high-throughput & ultra-high-content biology. It is located at the Turku Science Park premises at Turku, Finland. The corporation aims to serve further development of screening techniques for four dimensional biology - three spatial dimensions and time - to provide quantitative systems level information about how assemblies of molecules, cells and tissues function in normal and disease states and to use this information to improve biological understanding, disease detection, diagnosis and treatment. As general research strategy Misvik Biology is aiming to (a) advance use of multi-parameter imaging technologies for high-throughput screening, (b) use these to study how genomic features in model systems and humans encode the molecular, cellular and tissue structures that comprise normal and diseased tissues and (c) apply the resulting information to improve management of human diseases including, but not limited to, cancer.
