DM AIRPORTS, LTD., operators of Morristown Airport, is offering eight scholarships to members of the graduating classes of Morristown, Whippany Park, Hanover Park and Madison high schools for the 19th year. Seniors from the aforementioned high schools are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The one-time award of $1,000 may be used for tuition, books or other eligible fees associated with college attendance. Students interested in being considered for the scholarship can complete applications available from their high school guidance office. This year's selection process marks the 19th year that the airport will offer the scholarships. Since the program's inception in 2001, nearly 220 area students have received financial assistance for their freshman year of college, totaling $272,250. DM AIRPORTS, LTD will award a total of $8,000 to students from the Class of 2018. DM AIRPORTS, LTD., the private company that operates Morristown Airport, funds the scholarship program and defines the selection criteria. Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based Scholarship Managers, a division of Career Opportunities Through Education, Inc. (C.O.T.E), receives and evaluates individual applications, and selects the actual scholarship recipients. The deadline for returning all application materials is March 22th, 2019. The Airport expects to announce award recipients by April 22th.
