Moffat County School District

Moffat County School District serves approximately 2200 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12, and is the only school district in Moffat County, which spans an area of 4,836 square miles. Craig is the largest community in the district and is home to Moffat County High School, Craig Middle School, Early Childhood Center and five Elementary schools, one of which is a small rural school located in Maybell CO. Many of the students in the district are transported to school by bus. he District's 25 buses transport roughly a thousand students each day. Academic achievement is given top priority. Proficiency in the core academics is emphasized and students are encouraged to develop their academic strengths. Students receive a quality education at Moffat County School District. he efforts of teachers, support staff and administrators, along with parental involvement enable the students in Moffat County Schools to develop the skills and self-confidence needed to succeed in the 21st century. In addition to academic and college preparatory courses, a diverse vocational and technical curriculum is offered. Moffat County High School is also proud of its numerous successful extracurricular activities and athletic teams.
