Molfar

Molfar is a term used for shamans or magicians from the Hutsul people of Western Ukraine. Their work relied on prophesy and divination, using a wide range of sources such as water, shells, plants, wax or pebbles. Molfars would assist people who came to them with questions and use their expertise to read symbols, narratives and omens in their oracular objects.
