Monmouthshire Building Society

Monmouthshire Building Society

The Monmouthshire Building Society was established in Newport in 1869 to meet the needs of the local people. The Society operates through a network of branch and agency offices covering the M4 corridor from the town of Chepstow in the east, to Swansea in the west. Founded as a mutual organisation we believe that this form of corporate status has stood the test of time and is as effective today as it has ever been. We are a totally independent regional Building Society and endeavour to apply true mutual principles to all our affairs. Monmouthshire Building Society is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and this can be confirmed by using the FCA Register link (under Related Links) and entering the registration number 206052. We are also members of the Building Societies Association and Council of Mortgage Lenders. We are members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
