Mostardi Platt Associates

Mostardi Platt Associates, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Tom Mostardi and Bob Platt in a small garage in Chicago, Illinois. As the world was becoming more environmentally conscious, these two recent engineering college graduates recognized the need for a consulting service to assist businesses in the assessment of environmental risks and compliance with the increasing number of ever-changing environmental regulations. Over the next twenty years, the company grew into a full-service environmental consulting firm with a list of services offered to clients throughout the United States and internationally. In 2001, the company's air emissions testing and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) divisions were sold to the General Electric Company. The remaining consulting divisions began doing business as Mostardi Platt Environmental and continued to provide environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance management services. In 2004, Platt Environmental Services, Inc. was formed to again focus on air emissions testing and continuous emissions monitoring services. Platt Environmental Services, Inc. was acquired by Mostardi Platt Environmental's holding company in 2005 and merged into Mostardi Platt Environmental in 2011 when it began doing business simply as Mostardi Platt, once again a full-service environmental consulting company. In 2011, Mostardi Platt moved into a 53,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Elmhurst, Illinois.
