Mountain Peak Music

Mountain Peak Music is a publishing company devoted to helping musicians learn in new and dynamic ways. We promote the health and wellness of musicians and explore alternatives to traditional teaching methods. In addition, Mountain Peak Music strives to satisfy educational needs of musicians which are not currently being met. Mountain Peak Music is named for the San Francisco Peaks, the mountains visible from Flagstaff, Arizona, where the business is based. I am David Vining, professional trombonist and college professor, and I started Mountain Peak Music because I suffered a devastating injury to my embouchure and was unable to play until I retrained myself to play in a totally different way. While I was retraining, I discovered new ways to teach; many of these techniques became the seed projects for Mountain Peak Music. Now that I am better, I am committed to helping others avoid what I went through and helping musicians learn more efficiently and effectively.
