Motions School of Dance

Moves & Motions School of Dance was established in 1987 by Jodi Fera, dancer/choreographer. Her dream was to create a studio where students and instructors would share their love of dance and bring out each dancer's true potential. The school is dedicated to creating an environment built on excellence in dance education in a fun and loving atmosphere. In 1997, Jodi & her husband, opened the doors to their second studio, Moves & Motions Manhasset School of Dance, followed in 2006, by the opening of their third studio in Glendale, Queens. Their belief is that through the exploration of dance students also learn life skills. The goal is to build strong individuals, boost their self-confidence and help them learn discipline, respect and team work that will allow them to achieve their dreams. Several Moves & Motions students have gone on to become professional dancers. Others are now doctors, lawyers, school teachers, and more. The lessons learned through dance are valuable for whatever they pursue in life. The talented faculty brings years of experience from the studio, national stage, television, film, and many other amazing productions.
