MSIG Insurance Europe AG (MSIGEU) is a global industrial insurer with headquarters in Cologne. Our Group has been operational throughout Europe for many decades. Our portfolio here was initially exclusively aimed to service Japanese companies. In 2007 Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., (Europe) Ltd., London commenced writing German Industrial and Commercial insurance business via their branch in Germany. Thereafter, in 2009, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., (Europe) Ltd. commenced providing insurance for industrial risks in France (Paris) and Slovakia (Bratislava). MSIG Insurance Europe AG (MSIGEU) was founded in 2012 with headquarters in Cologne. Our company is part of the MS&AD Group, which is one of the largest insurance groups in the world. The main reason for this step was the proximity to continental European clients. As part of a portfolio transfer in 2013, the newly founded "Aktiengesellschaft"(PLC/Corporation) took over the entire continental European insurance business from the London-based Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., (Europe) Ltd. Already in 2012 we started writing new business in the industrial customer segment. MSIG Insurance Europe AG has gradually developed into a well-established insurance company in the European market.
