Marion Technical College
Marion Technical College is a state-assisted technical college. It is one of 24 two-year public colleges in Ohio that has approximately 2,500 students and offers more than 60 programs, majors, degrees and certifications. In 1970, charted by the Ohio Board of Regents as the Marion County Technical Institute and offices were established on the Marion Campus with the Ohio State University at Marion and later in 1971, the college began offering classes with 187 students enrolled in 4 degree programs. One year later in 1972, the name was changed to Marion Technical College by the Ohio Legislature and the first class graduated.
