The Music Connection

The Music Connection is a full-line music store founded in 1994. We specialize in guitars, amps, keyboards, violins, band instruments, drums and sheet music. With everything from student instruments to pro-level gear, The Music Connection strives to meet the needs of the musician, from beginner to professional. The 5000-square-foot store is home to 12 teaching studios with over 300 students per week. I purchased the store in 2003 and moved it to its current location in July 2006. I added Marshall, Ibanez, Vox, Korg and Tama to the store lineup, which already included Yamaha, Washburn and an array of band instruments. My goal is to make The Music Connection a true neighborhood store, with a friendly atmosphere, where beginners mingle with local pros over the guitars, amps, keyboards and drums. While The Music Connection tries to match internet prices, our main focus is on customer service. We have an on-site guitar and violin repair service, rentals, accessories and the North State's largest selection of sheet music. We have five employees (we call them Music Connectors) on staff, and most of them are also part of the local music scene. The only CDs on sale are those of local bands. At The Music Connection, we are always growing and consistently adding new inventory. We hope to continue to be a vibrant and supportive resource for the local music community.
