About the Muskoka Emergency Response Committee (MERC): The MERC is made up representatives from Muskoka's six area municipalities (Town of Bracebridge, Town of Gravenhurst, Town of Huntsville, Township of Muskoka Lakes, Township of Lake of Bays, Township of Georgian Bay), First Nation Communities (Moose Deer Point and Wahta Mohawks) and the District of Muskoka. The group collaborates to protect the health and safety of residents and visitors to Muskoka in times of emergency.
