Namibia Armature Rewinders

Namibia Armature Rewinders (NAR) was acquired by ACTOM in 2012. NAR was established more than 25 years ago in Swakopmund, a town 35 km north of Walvis Bay, Namibia's main sea port. Since 1995 NAR was certified by General Electric (US) as a recognised facility for repair of DC rotating equipment installed in diesel electric locomotives, off-highway haul trucks and other equipment applying DC or AC drives. NAR is also an accredited WEG repair facility for Namibia. NAR employs highly trained technical personnel, exercises stringent control, has been ISO 9001 certified and holds a NOSA grading. Our core competencies include repairs of low and high voltage electrical motors, generators, other rotating equipment and transformer repairs.
