Established in 1968, National Bank of Kenya is a leading financial services provider in Kenya with a large network in the country serving individuals, small-to-medium companies and businesses (SMEs) and large corporations. Headquartered in Nairobi, the bank provides services in both Retail and Corporate market sectors. NBK owns one subsidiary company: NatBank Trustee and Investment Services Limited. As of December 2011, NBK's asset base was valued at approximately US$821 million (KES: 68.7 billion), with shareholders' equity valued at about US$125 million (KES: 10.5 billion).
