Natural Systems Utilities' mission is to manage integrated water ecologies to meet human development needs in the most cost-effective and environmentally sustainable manner possible. NSU believes in the critical interdependence between human and natural systems. Natural ecosystems such as wetlands, oceans, grasslands, rainforests, rivers, and coral reefs provide the natural resources and services that humans and economies need to thrive. When incorporated into the whole design of a building or community plan, natural, and biomimicry systems can function as local living infrastructure. Our wetlands and closed-loop reclamation systems, for example, can help deliver basic treatment and reuse services for developers and governments, on projects big and small. NSU forges the best practices of long-term operational management and innovative investment support, along with sustainable technology and design for the field of green building. We have established a veteran private utility management team and a global network of the leading engineering design practitioners of sustainable water systems, such as treatment wetlands. NSU combines an expertise in subcontract and project management for planning, design, and construction needs, along with an in-house full-service operations and maintenance platform. NSU's parent company is located in the New York metro area and is growing a Midwest subsidiary utility operation and replicating such subsidiaries operations in the Southwest and Southeast through 2010. Founded in 2007, NSU operates systems with capacity equivalent to nearly 5,000 Equivalent Dwelling Units (EDUs) and has a pipeline of an additional 20,000 EDUs in five U.S. states as well as commercial and industrial clients in the U.K. and Europe.
